On nearly every SugarCRM project that I have worked on, I have been asked about server sizing for on-site deployments. This is a more complex question that one would generally think given that the use cases of SugarCRM vary widely because of it’s flexibility as a platform. In this article I am going to show you the evolution of SugarCRM hosting from small business to enterprise deployments.
Small Business SugarCRM Hosting - Single Server
Small business hosting in this sense refers to hosting SugarCRM for 10 - 20 users. The absolute minimum starting point for hosting is 1 server which hosts Apache ( Webserver ), MySQL ( Database ) and ElasticSearch.
Although I don’t recommend the single server configuration, it is possible and cost effective. If you choose to go this route then I would recommend a minimum of 8 GB RAM.
